Winter Escape to Oyster Bay Beach Resort

Oyster Bay Beach Resort made living the dream easy. Before we even arrived the staff had our refrigerator filled with food and drinks we had ordered on the email request form. Should you want to do a day tour to one of the other islands or rent a car, all you had to do was go to the activities/concierge desk. All was available right there. Our room was on the third floor (corner unit) we had a beautiful view of the cove and Dawn Beach. Our room was nice. King sized bed and small kitchenette area were all that we needed. There were some minor issues that we should have reported but didn't. Such as the sliding screen door to the balcony. It could have used a little WD40. The infinity pool was also scenic. Happy hour was great. We ate at Infinity and at Beau Beau's both had good food. Most of the staff but not all, were helpful and nice. Overall, I would definitely recommend OBBR . We had a great time

Birthday and Retirement Celebration

@Oysterbaybeachresort is pristine, friendly and everything we wanted in a relaxing atmosphere. It has a beach, a fresh water pool and great food at @Beaubeaus and @Infinity. There is a Bodega to purchase items for your in room cooking if you have a kitchen. We went down with another couple who stayed at the all inclusive Mercur. They visited us for a day and loved it so much where we were that they booked a studio and stayed the night. The facilities have been completly updated in 2016. If you want internet service in your room, there is the option to purchase it for $70 CDN for 7 days and there are othere packages offered. Taxi service is conveniently available and so is the shuttle bus service by Nat the Great. Arrange through the conceirge. Room service is daily by professional Resort staff. Plenty of room and pool towels. No need to bring your own. Have a fabulous vacation. Hot weather no need for a lot of clothes. Swim suits, flip flops and shorts and a light top. And your baseball cap. Quite windy along the water. The #Caribbean is such a dream to live in. Please enjoy my pictures attached. #oysterbaybeachresort

Carribean excellence

Our 2d floor king suite balcony with ocean view was splendid. Delta Vacations had us picked-up at Airport where planes fly quite close to Maho Beach where swimmers can almost touch them. The drive gave us an excellent lay of the land with many sights to digest. I had apparent made a mistake while booking and our room had only a shower and not a tub as my wife has back issue.; Michael brought us and bags to our room. Bernice was terrific at the front desk and quickly obtained a beautiful room for our stay. Everyone was cheerful on the premises and smiled broadly; I talked with everyone including the housekeepers gardeners etc. and found that many nationalities worked there. The concierge obtained a trip to St Barths on a catamaran ferry boat that was adventurous with 2 1/2 meter waves and quite rough. We obtained a taxi for $ 90 and the gentleman from France gave us an informative tour of the island and dropped us off at a French beachside restaurant. and a tremendous beach where we swam afterwards. The driver then picked us up and brought us back to the port for our return trip. I swam in the infinity pool at 2 AM under a full moon and enjoyed the rough surf/waves as they splashed over the headwall and also use the heated spa. The Infinity restaurant served delicious food and the drinks were very good. We shall retun to St Maartens again in the near future.

Oyster Bay Beach Resort

Awesome location, sits on a rock out-crop .... feels like you sailing! We listened to the waves crashing below our bedroom every night and it was perfect! The food, private spaces and infinity pool.... can't wait to go again.

Empty promises

The place appears clean but has ants that bite like crazy in the rooms. The employees are not happy and the promises they make are not kept. Charged me for internet in my room and never delivered. Promised to call me back many times and never did while I was at the resort. Hard to believe but read this carefully! We needed the room for the night before a Sailing trip of 8 days, and a day after and then we were going to Tortola for a night and then we came back. We asked them to store some of our luggage but they claimed they had no place. Then promptly after telling us our room was not ready when we returned from the Sailing trip taged our luggage for storage and sent us to the bar to wait. Funny I thought there was no storage. We decided to just pay for the night in between to store our luggage in the room. We were very clear that we were paying for a room we would not be in. We were paying full price for simply having a place to store our luggage ( $274.50)When we returned from Tortula they had moved us from 1227 to 3310. 3310 is a inside patio room with a parking lot view not the Superior Oceanview as charged. Yes they moved us. Packed our stuff up and moved us. Made a huge mess and I am missing a pair of Sperry Shoes. No call attempt to our phones at all. They have not apologized but have offered free breakfast but continental only. We have asked twice to speak to a manager who never shows. We have asked to have the ant situation sprayed and nothing happened. The shuttle to the airport only runs on Saturday. The facility was probably built pre 1960 and is in fair condition at best. People are crowded in the lobby and bar trying to get the Wifi since they do not seem to be able to deliver as promised in the rooms. When you sit in the lobby using the Wifi you hear lots of people coming to the desk with issues. Menus are basic and limited but a couple of the restaurants with in walking distance are very good. For a footnote only it should be noted that most guest are quite mature. Very few families or couples under 50. This was OK for me but if your younger and looking for a hip atmosphere this is not the place. I have written this review over 2 days trying to give the management a chance to at least charge us appropriately for the rooms we stayed in. Three different ones in as many days. It is Monday and I asked for a Manager at 8:30, sat in the lobby watching everyone come to work, reminded them I was waiting and now it is 9:30 and we are leaving. As a last note! This is an Ownership and shared ownership property which is not disclosed up front when you reserve. There is no way I would invest here. Too many signs they are not doing well.
