If you are the type who likes to going to the same place so you can get comfortable in your surrounding, this is a remarkable resort to be at. All the amenities and yet a little off the beaten path so you can enjoy some quiet. It was windy the day we were there and that made the waves some in strong and regular, yet it was still nice being right there at the ocean front.
From the moment we arrived until our last, sad goodbye, we were treated with warmth, care, and professionalism. The staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. I hesitate to name names because EVERYONE was amazing! But, to name a few...Jordaine at the front desk gave us a great list of local recommendations, Kevin, Simon, Elise, Deborah, Vishall, Chantal, and Elena at the restaurants served us and went out of their way to look after us, Shane with security always had a warm smile and a helping hand, and Vince with Caribbean Gems was the best Gem! We wanted to purchase some mementos and keepsakes from our trip and his honest and expert advice was exactly what we needed. Not to mention the accommodating cleaners and women in the gift shop!! We came for a vacation and left not only feeling relaxed, but like we had made some wonderful friends. Can't wait to go back next year.
This resort is beautiful, very clean and well maintained. The pool is great and huge with plenty of space for all. The beach is very nice and while not as calm as those on the West side of island still a nice place to swim. From the moment we arrived at the Westin Dawn Beach until the very end of our stay the staff went over and above to make us feel welcome. Both Jaenel and Carolyn at the Concierge Desk were very helpful from arranging a private cabana dinner for my husband and me to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary to helping with travel arrangements and restaurant suggestions. Kevin one of the staff members was leaving after his shift and noticed we had a flat tire on our rental. Without even being asked he changed our flat for us. Nadine and the pool bar personnel were attentive, kind, happy and made sure we never wanted for anything. The GM, Dan and the Regional Manager were in town the week we visited and were very visible and friendly. Lastly, Etienne was our incredible server for our private cabana dinner and he was top notch, friendly and endearing. There were many others that made our stay wonderful too. We will absolutely visit again in the future and would highly recommend a stay for those looking for a little piece of paradise. Also, the proximity to Oyster Pond and the 3-4 restaurants there makes it easy to find a place to eat nearby. I would suggest getting a rental car in order to do your own touring. Driving around the island is very easy in terms of finding your way.
We only stayed for a quick 2 night to conclude our honeymoon vacation, overall the resort was beautiful and the service was top notch. We decided to stay an additional two nights after visiting the resort during a day trip earlier in our honeymoon and became very interested in fractional ownership, the resort has a section dedicated to timeshares and fractional ownership condos. My only suggestion would be to gather detailed information regarding the timeshare and/or fractional ownership before visiting and going on the tour. Unfortunately after extending our honeymoon to stay at the resort in order to gather the necessary information needed to invest in the fractional ownership, we received a lovely tour that concluded in a pressured sales pitch to buy into a timeshare, which is not at all what we were looking for. In fact the fractional ownership would take a much larger investment than the timeshare that they were pushing for us to buy into. By the time the high pressure sales pitch was over, we decided not to How's it going my love? Back to the sales office and start over regarding the fractional ownership we were actually interested in. We wish we would have had the opportunity to gather the information regarding investing in the fractional ownership but we did not want to spend our second day at the resort going over what should have been presented during our first meeting, instead we enjoyed our last day at the resort and the last day of our honeymoon enjoying the resorts beautiful beach and great service. My only real complaint was the large construction equipment that was parked outside our balcony obstructing the stunning ocean view. (SEE PHOTOS) Overall this is a beautiful quiet and lovely resort. I would recommend this resort if you want a quite beautiful resort with top notch service. The resort is quite a long taxi ride from anywhere 'restaurants, shopping, etc. but the service is well worth it.
The view was spectacular and Kalil and Devon were great. They even let me pay some Reggae beats at the bar. I highly Recommend the Weston and when you come make sure you stop bye and get a Swingin' Engine from Kalil and Devon.
