Right on the money

Same as the other reviews. This was our first time to this hotel--super friendly staff, immaculate grounds, and a wonderful experience. This is absurdly convenient for absolutely everything on the island. In our week, we walked two minutes to get a ferry to St. Barts and Saba (Aqua Mania), we ate on the cheap a few times (there's a fantastic grocery market you could crawl to), we ate great Indian food across the street and great seafood around the corner, and we walked out to the beach and pool almost daily. Oh, and we walked a half a block up and always got a bus (van) for a buck and a half or two to Phillipsburg, Marigot, or Maho Beach. Great smells waft over from the grill shack serving cheap wonderful eats right across the street from the billionaire yachts in the marina. A tiny walk away is the French bakery where we had to pick up baguettes and croissants almost every morning. Adjoining the hotel is the Greenhouse Restaurant serving fabulous food and the best drinks on earth, damn near always 2 for 1. We had a partial view of the beach and a full view of a sandy lot on the side of the hotel. Uninspiring at first, it became quite a thrill all week watching the huge iguana and the resident egret, not to mention some of the local canines dragging their people around. We watched workers set up for the annual Heineken Regatta festivities. You do whatever you want here. The place is fantastic.

The Atrium just gets better every year!

We have stayed at the Atrium for 11 years now. The quality is consistently excellent every year and all of the staff-from housekeeper to front desk to security is always outstanding. They are pleasant, exceedingly helpful, and eager to please no matter time of day nor request. I highly recommend staying here!

One Bedroom

First time staying at the Atrium. Very nice staff, daily room service. Convenient to beach, restaurants, etc. I would stay here again. I would start looking early for booking as I booked one day and found the rate $450 cheaper 8 hours later and I couldn't get any refund. Perhaps try to book directly with the Atrium. The only negative would be that the bathroom could be updated.

Lovely & Convenient location

The Atrium is located on Simpson Bay with lovely water views (and airport) and within easy walking distance to restaurants and nightlife. You won't need to drive anywhere as long as you like all the near by offerings and there are many. The resort itself has 2 small elevators that run on "Island Time" so prepare to wait, for everything. The rooms are slightly dated but clean and comfortable with 2 wall AC units, one in the LR and the other in the MBR plus 2 ceiling fans. Full kitchen. Room towels are changed every day and midweek cleaning is provided. Ask for a water view room as the views are just lovely. They provide beach towels and chairs with umbrellas for resort guests at no extra charge. A concierge is located in the lobby every day. Several grocery stores are near by and either use the boxes offered to shoppers outside or bring your own bags as they actually charge $3 for paper grocery bags. We were inundated with time share barkers out front of the resort. They are not allowed on the properties or in the businesses near by so they can be aggressive but polite. Liquor prices are cheap but mixers are not. You can imagine what meat prices are like! As resorts go, this was very nice, a bit dated but nice and in a fabulous location. Small pool but most everyone is on the beach. Not at all far from airport, about 10-15 minutes but traffic can make that a half hour especially if the bridge opens. Then everything stops and you will be waiting even longer. Salt & pepper starters are not provided. Water has that 'island' taste but does no harm but still most everyone buys bottled water.
