Stayed here for one night with a party of eight in two rooms. One room had no AC and they quickly were given another room. The rooms are a little dated, but they are large and roomy. We had a nice view of the bay and were able to walk to some restaurants nearby. For St. Martin this is a nice hotel. It is on a beach and has a small pool as well as a bar and resraurant. For American standards it could be considered a little run down. There policy with towels and deposits is a little outdated. Anyway for one night ot was OK. A weekend would be good too. Would probably try someplace different thw next time we go.
We stayed at The Atrium in April of this year and loved it. The view of the bay, proximity to local businesses, the airport & Phillipsburg, everythinh. We are very concerned about the safety of the staff and the condition of the resort post-Irma. Has anyone heard anything or seen pictures?
Needs upgrading. I was not impressed at all. Repairs needed to room. Safes are old and not up to date. Check several times to make sure they are locked. Pool is very small. No food very close unless going to the Greenhouse, which is expensive. Some rooms have terrible views. Electricity went off on a regular basis. Pretty dumpy for the price.
I have been coming to St. Maarten and The Atrium since 1999 and it NEVER fails to provide a great experience; however, this year was totally awesome. There have been many upgrades/improvements to the facility. The beds made it hard to get up and get moving, they were so comfortable. Units are equipped with most everything you need. We cooked several nights while there and were not missing anything that was needed.
Enjoyed our stay at the Atrium in Simpson Bay. The building itself is dated; that being said it was very clean and the room furnishings and appliances were newer; bathroom could use with an update but was clean; main lobby was also very welcoming. Welcome reception was nice and appetizer food was good and plentiful; lots of door prizes. The staff at this resort were exceptional. Everyone, from the reception, maintenance, housemaids, entrance greeters etc. were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Very close to restaurants. Enjoyed the Greenhouse and Buccaneer's beside the resort. Also close to Jimbo's and Skip Jacks. Marketplace for groceries (higher prices) is right next door, however we did had a car and went to Grand Marche in Philipsburg for our food. Beach is okay. We travelled to other island beaches during the day and relaxed later in the day at the beach. Chairs/umbrella's provided.
