My stay was very nice clean resort and worth the price friendly people great drinks and food Close to all the attractions and shopping we were greeted by name each day our room was cleaned every day by the staff.
Check in was effortless. Reception was warm and friendly. Room was ready and waiting. Everything from lobby to our suite was very clean. We were provided with everything we needed (except a resort directory). Housekeeping was in every day and even ran the dishwasher for us. They also figured out within a day that we were not early risers and managed to get in and out each day while we were at the beach. We did not attend the Monday evening welcome parties but several other guests were very excited by all that was offered. There were several other activities offered and the concierge was knowledgeable and made helpful suggestions. Clean beach towels were available every day. The beach was clean and tables, chairs, and umbrellas were readily available. Mike, the chair attendant, made sure that everyone was comfortable. Groceries, casinos, and many wonderful restaurants were a available nearby; many within walking distance. Two other things... The bed was rather high for my short self and once I got a hip in place, the mattress had just enough give that it was difficult for me to get myself all of the way up and in place to sleep. It was worth it though; the bed was quite comfortable. My husband, who is four inches taller, had no problem at all. We were provided with nice white, fluffy towels. Several of the face towels/wash cloths were a dingy grey. I can't say enough about Nazreen, Karleen, and Allison at the front desk. I was addressed by name each and every time I came within speaking distance of the front desk. These ladies were warm, friendly, and efficient. The others were nice as well but these three stood out! My next stay in St. Maarten will definitely be at the Atrium.
Nice place to stay close to many restaurants and attractions. Friendliest staff I've experienced in 12 trips to Sint Maarten. View from 8th floor 2 bedroom unit was very nice. Staff called me by name all week and were at my beckon call.
We arrived a few hours before the 4pm check-in time, so naturally we had to wait. Just know, if you arrive early they do not have the rooms ready until check-in time and sometimes it's closer to 5pm. We arrived on a Friday and had to wait past 4 pm, but at least we had a place to sit and there is a bar/restaurant next door. On Saturday, when most people checked in, the place was standing room only! The staff were wonderful, and helped us with a rental car problem we had. They were very quick to respond to any request. We had a nice 1 bedroom end unit, which gave us a huge balcony. The beds were comfortable, air conditioning worked great, and the cooking utensils where some of the best I've seen in a time share unit. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was for cleanliness. The room, at first look, appeared clean. If you really started looking closely it was evident that the cleaning people just did the bare minimum. We found dishes with stuck on food in the cabinets, cutlery with food still caked on them, drinking glasses that were sticky inside and still had lipstick marks on them. It was obvious they had just put them away like they were clean. The counters were gritty, and the toilet had not been cleaned. Luckily, I always take my Clorox wipes with me and was able to clean everything and run the dishes through the dishwasher. Rooms are all updated, and the beds are very comfortable with nice clean sheets. There is a bit of a hike to the beach, so if you have mobility problems that could be an issue. You have lots of places to eat close by, and there is even a small convenience store across the street. Just make sure they actually charge you the listed price, they tried to overcharge us on more than one occasion and a few others we met had the same experience. Overall, you get a good bang for your buck if you don't mind doing a little cleaning first.
We have stayed at the Atrium twice now. It is such a nice resort. The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. The beds were very comfortable. My husband usually has trouble sleeping on vacation but these beds were wonderful. The resort is located in a central location to so many restaurants and things to do.
