PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten (Sept. 11, 2012) - HGTV's hit show "House Hunters On Vacation" was recently filmed at various properties and locations around St. Maarten for an episode that will air Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012 at 3:30 PM on HGTV.
The episode will follow two couples who have been surprised with a vacation in St. Maarten. The host of the show, Taniya Nayak, will escort the four travelers to three villa rental properties around the island. The vacationers will ultimately choose their favorite property out of the three to enjoy for the duration of their trip.
Filming took place throughout both the Dutch and French sides of the island, including Maho Beach, Pic du Paradis, Mullet Bay, Front Street, Rue de Republique and the Grand Case area.
"We're thrilled that our beautiful island will be featured on HGTV," said Augusto Priest, acting director of tourism for the St. Maarten Tourist Bureau. "Viewers will see the many attractions St. Maarten possesses, along with the variety of properties the island offers to accommodate all tastes and budgets."
